Updates are in yellow.

1. It’s been seven years since I posted the last .mp3 file. Other duties did not afford the opportunity to continue with this project. B”H, it appears that I can now continue working on the remaining 6/7ths of HaRav Ostroff’s Shiurim. The old files were migrated to this new website (neranenah.org). IY”H, an updated website layout and new Shiurim following the Rav’s revised numbering system will soon be posted.

2. I mentioned a number of times that Yad Soledes Bo (YSB) is 160o F (71o C).  Actually, opinions range from110 o F (43.3o C) to 160 o F. Many Poskim use the value that would be Machmir (stringent) for the situation, and rely on the opposite extreme only in an emergency. Starting with Shiur 24, Part 2 (of the original numbering system), I refrain from mentioning a specific value for YS”B.

3. A question has arisen regarding Halacha L’Moshe M’Sinai. This is a controversial topic – I am writing an essay on it.

4. I will be posting the Volumes 2 – 4 of the Pirchei Shoshanim Journal, published annually, on this website. (If anyone has a physical copy of Volume 1, please contact me at snbaay@yahoo.com.) Let this serve as a call for papers for Volume 5, to be published in time for the annual conference in June, 2011. Please send your submission in MS Word (English or Hebrew) to snbaay@yahoo.com as soon as possible.
